We have been online since September 2001. At that time, we were an antiquarian bookshop specializing in old children's books.

After the first few months, we became aware of seals and advertising stamps through the purchase of a collection.

Since then, we have revived this forgotten area of collecting. We have now attracted 25,000 customers, who have purchased over 150,000 stamps. You can buy 100,000 of these stamps in our shop.

The field of collecting seals, advertising stamps, and old postcards remains largely unexplored to this day. There is no central catalog. For this reason, encouraged by the success of Wikipedia, we launched veikkos-archiv in 2009.

We have added images of traded seal and advertising stamps as well as postcards to the archive. There are currently over 400,000 images in the database.

Similar to Wikipedia, we make the information in the database available to the community and encourage them to research the history of the stamps and postcards and add to the archive and historical atlas.

 

Central catalog

In a central catalog, we sort the existing advertising stamps and seal stamps by theme and company.

 

Historical travel guide

Since 2011, we have been working with local history associations, municipal and city administrations to supplement the historical atlas with the sights of the respective area. This creates a central archive of points of interest for tourists.

You can then discover the sights and stories of the places on bicycle and hiking routes that we have created ourselves.

 

Berlin-Brandenburg excursion guide

We are compiling an excursion guide with selected bicycle and hiking routes, which lists over 50 routes.
